To accelerate the development of the Steam Coast Trail we need all the financial help we can get. Government grants, Sustrans backing, the local authority, Forum21, Lottery grants and other sources of funding will only go so far. Plus, most of these funding bodies require some form of matched contribution.
Phase One of the Steam Coast Trail alone will cost £350,000. The full Steam Coast Trail network will require millions of pounds over many years. Yes, it is a lot of money and effort! But as all our supporters believe, the return on investment into the Steam Coast Trail in terms of tourism, health benefits, reduction in congestion, safety benefits and environmental benefits, will certainly dwarf these costs. So please help now!
